William L. Humphrey, 92, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2013 in the comfort of his beloved companion. He was born August 15, 1920 in Marlin, Texas. After a long and glorious life filled with kindness and generosity toward anyone he met; Mr. Humphrey has left behind the suffering and the pain of his final days on this earth and has gone to his eternal peace with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his beloved and devoted companion of 23 years Olevia D. Lacy. He is also survived by his children Willie Mae Williams and Jacqueline Humphrey; brother Webster Humphrey; three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by the children and grandchildren of his beloved companion and partner Olevia D. Lacy. Mr. Humphrey served as a member of the United States Army and was a long standing member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in El Paso, Tx. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 6pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1pm. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
