Angel Muniz

Angel Muniz, 90, was born on June 7, 1924. He left this earth on June 15, 2014 to be with the Lord. Angel was a long time resident of El Paso, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Victoria Muniz, the 9 children that they raised together: Olga Martinez, Virginia Lopez, Jose Muniz (sp. Linda Martinez), Gloria Muniz, Gustavo Muniz (sp. Graciela Muniz), Maria Saucedo, Victor Muniz (sp. Blanca Muniz), Velia James (sp. Jonathan Vernon James), Ofelia Retzer (sp. Jeffery Retzer), his 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Angel was also beloved by his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a gentle giant (at 6’4”) who loved to tinker with tools and such to “make things better” in his own way! His family knew him to be a very loving, generous man who was an excellent role model of love and commitment. Angel’s most treasured accomplishment was becoming a US citizen in 1996. His sense of humor had a way of bringing a smile to the face of all who encountered him. He had a genuine love for nature and the outdoors. He will be truly missed! Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Scripture Service at 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment is Private.
