Olmos, Carmen (1933 - 2014)
Carmen experienced her first day in heaven on Wednesday morning. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ramon Sr. in 2003; loving daughters: Alva Olmos in 2003 and Irma Duffy in 2004. She is survived by her sons: Manuel, Ramon Jr., Hugo, Oscar, Saul, Samuel and Marcos; daughters: Rosa Barragan, Norma Olmos, Lydia Edwards and Elia Hernandez; 25 grandchildren, 10 great grand children and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Salvador Calleros; sisters: Elia Martinez and Maria Calleros; and an abundance of family and friends.
Carmen was born in Durango, Mexico. She lived in Fabens,Texas and married World War II Veteran Ramon Sr. in 1953. In 1973, after the birth of their 14th child, they moved to El Paso, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, faithful servant of God and wonderful host. We will miss her Godly wisdom, zeal for life, laughter and unwavering strength. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, beginning with the Viewing at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Service will be at 8:30 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home East. The funeral procession will meet on November 24th at Sunset Funeral Home East at 9:00 a.m. and will proceed to the burial at Fort Bliss National Cemetary, East Shelter at 9:30 a.m. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints".
