Catalina O. Aguirre

With great sorrow we announce the passing of beloved Catalina Ortiz-Aguirre 63, of San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Born February 14, 1954 in El Paso, Catalina was predeceased by her parents: Jesus M. & Fabiana R. Ortiz. Catalina is survived by her husband, Catarino Aguirre; children: Gregg Saul Durán, Eli Nephi Durán, Karina Kathy Baltazar-Durán (Charley); Jose Javier Aguirre; sister, Margie Goode (Randy); brother, Greg Ortiz; granddaughter, Sionell Andrea Durán; nieces, great-nieces & nephews, a great-great niece, many loving cousins & her “Kitty”. Catalina, raised in El Paso proudly attended El Paso High School. She moved to San Antonio, raised her children and granddaughter and was employed and retired by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Catalina, a blessing to all, was known for her faith, beautiful smile, big heart, unconditional love, supportive mother and loyal friend. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, listening to music and playing card games. May your memory forever live in our hearts, your humor lift us when we’re down, your voice be music to our ears, your kindness inspire us to be better, and your enduring strength support us in our weakness. Rejoice and dance, for you are home now. A church service was held in San Antonio last week. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N.
