Cathy Elaine Burdette

Our dear mother Ms. Cathy Elaine Burdette passed unexpectedly at University Medical Center on April 1st, 2018 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 56. Cathy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joshua and Alexis Martyn of Waxahachie, Texas; son and daughter in law, Daniel Martyn and Mabel Del Valle of El Paso, Texas; daughter and son in law Samantha and Victor Gonzalez of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren Rachel, Peyton, Victor III, Anthony, and Matthew, all of El Paso, Texas. Cathy Elaine Burdette was born on April 5th, 1961 in Fayatteville, West Virginia to her parents Everette H. Gilkerson and Wanda L. Uhl. She moved to El Paso, Texas with her mother where she later stayed raised her own children and grandchildren. Cathy held several jobs throughout her life however her favorite was being a grandmother. We would like to thank her many friends and neighbors who truly loved her. We will always love you and miss you Mom. May you rest in peace. Visitation 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. A memorial and cremation service will be private and held at a later date.
