Charles Eugene Powlus
1946-2017
Chuck was a true soldier. After enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1965, Chuck was awarded numerous medals but the most important was the Purple Heart for injuries received in battle. He served his country, family, and community with honor, enthusiasm, and love.
After Vietnam, Chuck returned to a country that was filled with hate but was able to keep his joyful enthusiasm for life and give back in so many ways, especially to the children.
His pride and joy was the 20 plus years he spent volunteering for the Northeast Junior Bowlers and the Northeast Optimus. Chuck was the person that we all strive to be.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife Ann of 52 years; 2 children, Charles and Holly; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Eric, And Johnnie; 1 great grandchild, Colten.
He is also survived by his mother Stella; brothers, Joey, Bryan, Brent and sister Jackie and many nieces and nephews.
Rest In Peace.... We LOVE you very much,
Forever in our Hearts!!!
