Christian David (Crash) Montgomery, 39, died in his sleep of unknown causes on October 8, 2014. He was born in Odessa, Texas on June 8, 1975 to David J. Montgomery and Barbara Silverthorne Montgomery. Chris is survived by his mother, Barbara Silverthorne Montgomery of Pikeville, Tennessee; father, David J. Montgomery (Sue) of New Port Richey, Florida; sister, Carrie Hurley (Jeff) of Grayling, Michigan; niece and nephew Makaila and Michael; step mother, Nancy Montgomery of Chattanooga, Tennessee; uncle, Christian Silverthorne of Houston, Texas; aunt and uncle Sheryl and Daniel Foote; cousin, Lauren Foote of El Paso, Texas and many friends and extended family. Chris is a graduate of Eastwood High School. He served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was a truck and ambulance driver. After the military he went home to El Paso and then moved to Pikeville, Tennessee where he joined the Rescue Squad and Rigsby Volunteer Fire Department. He recently moved back to El Paso where he worked for the City of El Paso in the Environmental Services Department. During his short life Chris was an Over the Road Truck Driver, Volunteer Rescue worker, Volunteer Fireman and welder. Chris (Crash as his friends called him) loved life and laughing. Chris never met a stranger. Chris loved his family dearly and will be missed by all.
