David Piner

David Piner was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and served as a Crash and Rescue team member. After a honorable discharge, he continued to serve his community by working for the County of San Diego for 30 years. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, the Altar and Rosary Society. He loved America, his family and friends. David went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2014. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00 on July 15, 2014. In his memory there will be a Rosary said at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast at 7:00pm on July 15, 2014. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for July 16th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Diana Avenue at 9:30am. Following the Mass he will be interred at the Ft. Bliss Military Cemetery at 10:30am.
