Dolores Barron

Our dearest mother, Dolores Barron, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was born on March 22, 1936 in Juarez, Mexico to Fortunato and Cruz Diaz. On January 29, 2008, she proudly became a U.S. citizen. Her greatest devotion was to her beloved family. Everyone she met was touched in a very special way through her kindness, wittiness, her natural giving nature, and her love for life. She will always be remembered for her strong will to live in spite of her health problems, her unwavering faith in God and her love of prayer. She was preceded in death by her parents; Fortunato and Cruz, her brothers; Juan, Rito and Guadalupe, her sister; Sor Amada, and her daughter; Rosa Maria. She is survived by her spouse; Jesus, her children; Salvador, Isabel, Jose Luis, Manuel (Rosario), Leticia, Maria Concepcion, Javier (Stacie), Martin, Angelica Maria (Jose), Anna, Lola (Joel), Felix (Elvia), Carmen (Esau), and Yvonne (Danny), her 34 Grandchildren and 15 great Grandchildren, her sisters; Carmen and Teresa. Mother, we were your strength and you will forever be ours. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment will follow at Memory gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM.
