Edward Flores Padilla

Edward Flores Padilla passed away on January 20, 2017 surrounded by family and his beloved pets. He was a very kind and generous man always willing to help those less fortunate. Edward was a proud grandfather, avid biker, Harley Davidson fan and gun enthusiast. He was deeply devoted to our Lord as well as Santo Nicho de Atocha. Edward served proudly in the United States Army from 1973 to 1985 as Staff Sergeant and was in the Special Forces- Green Berets and served in the airborne infantry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustasia Flores and Manuel R. Padilla, sister Mary Anderson and brother Manuel F. Padilla. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Biata; daughters Carrie Ann Padilla and Gena Marie Padilla, grandchildren Skyler Padilla Vargas, Alexander Padilla Fernandez, Jade and Ashton Padilla Vargas, sisters Josie Padilla (Eloy) Fuentes, Rafaela Padilla Galindo, Helen Padilla (Ben) Molina, Irene Padilla (Pasqual) Ramirez and brother Antonio F. (Carol) Padilla, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and his beloved family in Panama. He will be truly missed. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30am on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Serving as pallbearers are Carrie Ann Padilla, Gena Marie Padilla, Skyler Edward Padilla-Vargas, Alexander Padilla Fernandez, Joseph Arellano, Luis Hernandez, German Lozano and Henry Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearers are Erik Padilla Fuentes, Ernest Padilla Fuentes and Peter Villanueva. Luis Hernandez will be representing Edward Flores Padilla family in Panama.
