Efrain Zamora Jr, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed away on Sunday February 8th 2015 in Colorado at the age of 72, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was a proud Austin Panther, class of 1962. Efrain worked at Fort Bliss, Texas as a Civilian Employee for over 30 years and received numerous awards for his dedication and had retired from there just 2 years ago. He had also worked at Popular Dry Goods for 15 years and had worked his way up to Management.
During his spare time he loved to go fishing with his family and friends and vacationing in Colorado. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed his “Bowling Buddies†that played every Tuesday in Fort Bliss.
But his greatest joys in his life was spending time with his Grandchildren.
Efrain is survived by his wife of 51 years Virginia B Zamora, his son Efrain Zamora III (Rosa L Zamora) of El Paso and daughter Yvonne Palone (Kirk Palone) of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren, Maygen Zamora, Vanessa Zamora, Thorin Palone and Rhiannon Palone; Great Grandchild, Kaden. He had 2 brothers, Alfredo Zamora (Norma) and Antonio Zamora (Pat) all of El Paso and 1 beloved Uncle Mr. Luigi Pellicano and his Wife Mary and Aunt Mary Zamora, and all the other numerous cousins, nephews and nieces that he held dear to his heart.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am with a Funeral Service starting at 11am on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
