Ellen Louise Vasquez

Ellen Louise Vasquez, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend has blessed us with her unconditional love and cherished memories. On November 14, 2013 she passed in peace at her home in El Paso, Texas, where she lived some of the best years of her life. Born September 7, 1933 to Sherman and Elizabeth Norman from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Vasquez, they spent 21 wonderful years together. Ellen is survived by her children: Debra Langbehn, Doyle Story, Richard Story; son in-law William Langbehn; her brothers C.L. Norman and Al Norman; sister Rosetta Logan; stepchildren Pam Gaytan, Pete Vasquez, Michael Vasquez and Melissa Baker. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Ellen will be missed by all. She truly believed her greatest legacy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived her life loving and caring for others, always taking time to laugh and find enjoyment. Ellen was voted “Best Grandparent”, 40 years in a row. Visitation will be held from 2-6pm Sunday, November 17 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral Service will be held at 8:30am Monday, November 18 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
