Enriqueta Aguirre

Enriqueta (Pena)Aguirre, aka Queta, Kika, Kate, has gone to be an angel under God. She was surrounded by her family and friends as she passed. She was born on July 21, 1934 to Augustina Sierra Pena † and Enrique Pena †. She is the proud mother of three sons: David, Danny and Adrian; mother-in-law to Suze and Debbie; and a very proud grandmother to Naomi Renee and Adrian Richard Aguirre, Bobby, Danny, Adrian †, Chris, Saida and Anthony Vasquez. She is loved by her family and will be greatly missed for her kind heart, beautiful smile, good nature and tenderness. To many she was a partner-in-crime, second mother, grandmother emeritus, and Daisy May! Raquel, Ray, Rosemary, Russ, Stephanie, Merissa, Holly, Edna, David, LD and Eric were all very important people in her life as well as all her family and friends and she loved them all dearly. She was a proud Bowie Bear and made it a point to attend the reunions as often as she could. She was a lover of all sports, especially football and basketball. You would usually find her watching the games, be it Professional or college, on the weekends. She loved watching her NOVELAS and never missed her nightly CHECK-UP phone calls to each son's home to make sure everybody was o.k. Once you came to know her, she became a fierce friend. A Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Aguirre, Daniel Aguirre, Adrian Aguirre, Sergio Castillo, Russ Baker, David Vijil, Adrian R. Aguirre. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East, El Paso, TX.
