Fernando Tomas Ramos

“We will miss you, papasan. Save us one spot at the table at our Ohana Heavenly luau” Fernando T. Ramos, 88 years old, passed away in El Paso, Texas on October 1, 2017 after a brief illness. He is now at peace with our Divine Father and joins his Beloved, wife, Jovita G. Ramos and loving daughter, Charlotte V. Ramos. He was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii where he met his future wife, Jovita Garcia. He married her on February 10, 1952 in Hawaii. They were married 63 years. He retired as an Army Master Sergeant, from the U.S. Army in 1977 at Ft. Bliss, TX. And later, went on to graduate from El Paso Community College. He was a devoted Husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and doting great-grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Dr. JoAnn Ramos-Alarilla of Sierra Vista, AZ, Wesley Ramos of Waco, TX and Lani Ramos of Springfield, TN. He is blessed with five loving grandchildren Layla Ruiz of Plano, TX; Brian Patrick of San Antonio, TX; Adam Alarilla of Corpus Christi, TX, TSGT Eric Ramos of Layton, UT and Wayne T. Ramos of El Paso, TX and his thirteen great-grandchildren, Jakob, Jazlyn, Joaquin, Iris, Daphne, August, Cy, Marisol, Isbella, Isaiah, Adam Jr., C.J, Lexi. Also, survived by two brothers, Benjamin Ramos of Waipahu, HI and Patrico Ramos, Port Orchard, WA. Visitation will be at 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:45pm on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
