Gloria Martinez Carrasco

Gloria Martinez Carrasco of El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully and was granted her angel wings on June 18, 2015 at the age of 63. Gloria Martinez Carrasco was born on July 19, 1951 in El Paso, Texas and was a graduate of Jefferson High School. Gloria worked in the medical field for over 29 years. She had many hobbies and interests which included a large collection of Japanese dolls and antiques. Gloria enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts. She loved the outdoors which included camping and family barbeques. Gloria was very much involved in her church and was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ. She was a very caring and compassionate person, always putting the needs of others before her very own. It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for granted. Gloria was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Juan Martinez; mother, Juana Martinez; brothers: Moises Martinez and David Martinez. Gloria is survived by her husband Juan Carrasco of 47 years; daughters: Martha Carrasco, Cynthia Carbajal and husband Jose Carbajal, Andrea Carrasco-Rivera and husband Hector Rivera. In addition she also had 4 grandchildren: Terence Mendoza-Rivera, Amber Rivera, James Carbajal and Juan Carbajal. Gloria is also survived by her brothers Juan Martinez, Isaac Martinez, Ediberto Martinez; sisters: Maria Ragland, Ruth Rocha, Estela Martinez and several aunts, uncles , nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home East. Interment will be Private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
