My beautiful mother Gloria Z. Moncada, 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Gloria would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on-bonus, a reunion with family, friends, and pets she has not seen in a long time. Most especially her husband, Manuel, and her son, Michael. She is going to meet her two other children, daughter, Debbie, and son, Manuel Jr., whom she did not have the honor to raise. Most of all, meet her grandchild, Baby Salazar, whom she wanted to spoil. Gloria leaves behind her daughter, Jacqueline M. Salazar, and son-in-law, Salvador Salazar Jr. She also leaves behind her cats, Jack, Brown Cat, Kitten, Blondie, Grace and Visitor. She is also survived by her adopted step-family, Santiago, Manuela, their children, grandchildren, and pets.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and their Deaf Ministry. Psalm 23:4- Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Gloria wants the Deaf Community of El Paso to unite, fight for your rights, flourish and grow, and be proud of your community. A special thanks to numerous friends for their longtime friendships.
