Hazel T. Leon

Hazel T. Leon, 91, born in Rayne, LA, January 23, 1926 passed away in El Paso, TX, August 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Leon, Sr. of Duson, LA, son-in-law Robin (Pete) Higginbotham El Paso, TX, Daughter-in-law Anne E. Leon, El Paso, TX, her father Isacc Spell, Mother Agnes Spell of Rayne, LA, 2 brothers Clyde Spell, of Alvin , TX, Leroy Spell, of Rayne, LA 1 sister Agnes Morgan of Crowley, LA. She is survived by 3 sons, Donald Ray Leon, Roland Leon and David Leon Jr, 2 daughters Lisa Leon Alford, husband Andrew, and Lydia Leon Higginbotham, along with one sister, Gloria Lachaussee residing in Abbeville, LA. Hazel has 14 grandkids and 19 great grandchildren. Hazel is retired from the Ysleta Independent School District, Parkland Middle school cafeteria. The family would like to thank Pete Natividad, NP and Hospice Cema Staff. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:15am on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service to follow at 10:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
