Hector Jose Ochoa

Hector Jose Ochoa was born on February 17, 1936 in El Paso, Texas. The Lord called Hector to his Kingdom on March 16, 2014 at the age of 78. Hector was a proud brother of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 583 since October 1969. He retired as a journeyman in April of 2002, but was an active retiree who always attended meetings and luncheons. He looked forward to going to the union hall every Friday for his coffee and to talk with all the union employees. Hector was currently an employee with El Paso Community College working as a lab tech with the electrical program. He had a passion for his work and was very proud to be a part of the electrical trade. Hector had a huge heart! He was such an intelligent man always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. He never said no! Hector is survived by his only son whom he loved so much and was very proud of, Daniel Hector Salvador Ochoa, daughter-in-law Laurie Ochoa and his grandchildren Danielle Alyssa, Jacob Manuel, Serah Alyson, and Kloee Alyana Ochoa. He adored his grandchildren and loved to spoil them in anyway he could. He is also survived by many family members, friends, and union brothers. Hector will be missed by so many who were blessed to have known and loved him. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
