Our beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, and father Hugo Cadena Blanco passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2014 following a long battle with cancer. He courageously fought to regain his health for over a decade, but ultimately succumbed to complications from cancer in his home with his loving family by his side. His family already misses him dearly, but is comforted in knowing he will be reunited with his recently departed father, Antonio in Heaven. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Kelli; children, Carl Vincent and Sara; mother, Hortensia; siblings: Anthony, Sonia, Sandra and Cesar. He also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews Misha, Mark, Aja, Aria, Nigel, Nathan, Alexandra and Senora. Born in Monterrey, California, he is long time resident of El Paso. He was a faithful man of God and a devoted lifelong Catholic. He was a loving father and husband who had an endless passion and energy for everything he did, and he always put that energy into his family and close relationships first. His spirited nature and thirst for adventure will always be remembered by his family through all the places and events that they were a part of as a family.
He attended Terrace Hills elementary, graduated from Andress High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at El Paso. He spent much of his professional career as a successful Sales Executive for KTSM El Paso and Glaxo Smith Kline. Hugo would like any contributions to be made to the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation in his name, www.rgcf.org.
