James Albert Bindon

James Albert Bindon, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. James was born in Tauton, Massachusetts on March 2, 1929. He was a loving son, husband, father , brother, grandfather and friend. James proudly served in the United States Army for 26 years. He saw combat in the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He retired in January 1974 in El Paso, Texas, where he owned and operated Cactus Realty for the next 25 years. James also proudly served as a member of the Skyline Optimist Club for 34 years. James was preceded in death by his father, Albert; brother, Carl; sister, Edith, daughter; Katheryn; and grandson, Jason. He leaves behind his mother, Ethel; four sisters; one brother; his loving wife of sixty two years, Vera; three sons: James (Molly) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kenneth (Barbara) of El Paso, Texas, David (Sandy) of Tucson, Arizona, and daughter, Vicki (Daniel) of Lubbock, Texas, seven grandchildren: Christopher, Jimmy, Nate, Brian, Sheri, Stephen and Ashley; and ten great-grandchildren. Committal Service will be at 10:30 on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
