Javier Jaime

Javier Jaime, 63, born and raised in El Paso, Texas passed away on May 9, 2014. He went peacefully due to complications after surgery. Javier attended Technical High School then called, “La Tech” during his teen years. He then graduated from Garfield High School in Los Angeles, CA. Being from the “Segundo Barrio” he was always loyal to Bowie High School. Javier then joined the US Army and was a proud veteran and active member of the VFW. He was our own personal handy man and electrician. He was always willing to help anyone and therefore had quite a few friends, good friends. Javier attended church every Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Paso, TX as well as in Colorado since he frequently visited his mother and sister there. He made many friends in Colorado too. Javier would light up any room with his charisma and sense of humor. Always the life of the party with his funny jokes. Always there to bring a smile to anyone that was in need of one. Javier was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-great father, brother, and especially uncle. He was especially close to his nieces and nephews, Bertha Mendoza, Jamie Guadian, Adrian Lopez, Victor Orlando Jaime and Carlos Amador Jaime. Javier is survived by his mother Evangelina Jaime, brothers Victor M. Jaime and Amador Jaime, sister Berta Jaime Gutierrez. He is also survived by his wife Elisa Velia Jaime, sons Javier Jr. and Mark Anthony ; his daughters Diana, Velia, and Elisa. He will surely be missed. His words of advice, wisdom and love will surely be missed by all who grew to love and respect him. We are sure that he will be the life of any party in heaven. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
