Joanna Jean Ray

Joanna Wood Ray, born November 23, 1941, passed away on July 21, 2014. She is preceded in death by her eldest son Daniel Ray, and survived by her sons Samuel Ray, wife Dona, and Abraham Ray, 4 grandchildren Colton, Forrest, Kennedy and Tennyson, Sisters Beverly Benton and Elaine Novakovitch, many nieces and nephews and Best Friend Karen Guido. Joanna worked in the Title industry for 35 years. She was an inspiration to all. She raised 3 boys single handedly to become amazing men in their own right. She was a strong, independent, vivacious, fun woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She will live eternally in our hearts, and for those of us who have seen her photographs, we will always be able to see the world through her beautiful Blue eyes, as no one captured the essence of the southwest the way she did. A Grave side Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
