John Henry Saathoff

On January 22, 2015 The Good Lord was in search of a strong angel. John Henry Saathoff was called upon as that angel. John Saathoff, born July 20, 1936 in Hondo, Texas to Marshall Saathoff and Amalia Sanchez. John served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959, then became an El Paso Firefighter in 1960 and retired from the EPFD in 1982 when his first grandson was born. He owned John's Tree Service from 1960 to 2008 when he closed his business to spend time with his loving family. John was also known as "Papa" to all of his close family and neighbors. John is survived by his immediate family- Loving daughter Tammy Beeman, Son-in-law Jeff Beeman, Grandchildren: J John Saathoff Beeman (Yvette), John H Saathoff III, Vanessa and Justin Ryan, Great granchildren: Andrew J and Mia Bella, also his extended and very close family: Henry, Leta, Olivia, Larissa, Richard and Leon. "Rest in peace my Papa" Visitation will be from 1-6 pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 3 pm and a Scripture Service at 4, Monday, February 2, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina.
