John Jerome Westphal

John Jerome Westphal passed in peace Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born on July 30, 1934 to Stanley and Clara Westphal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John proudly served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and settled in El Paso in 1972. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ingeborg. Survivors include his daughter Ute Campbell and husband Bill of Grapevine Texas; grandson Colin Campbell; grandson Ryan Campbell and wife Cortni; and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm with Funeral Services to begin at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas. Committal Services will begin at 9:30 am, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
