Jose De Jesus Flores

Jose De Jesus Flores died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 17, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Tomasa of 58 years, children: Susie (Armando), Patty (Juan), Lupe, Jesse, Lourdes (Peter), Beatrice (Rick), Lizzy (Benny), Veronica (Jimmy): 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many God children. The most important thing in Jesus' life was his faith, family, and friends, whom he showered with love, kindness and advice. His love to tell a good joke made him the life of a party. His devotion to his family, church, and community was as strong as it was loved. He faced death the same way he faced life, with strength, courage, humor, and dignity. We will miss him tremendously, but know he is in God's Eternal Kingdom resting in peace. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm Friday, December 20, 2013 with a vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
