June Elenora Jenkins

November 7, 1938 — February 18, 2014

June Elenora Jenkins, 76, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. June was born in New Orleans on November 7, 1938. She later moved to El Paso where she worked at Cloth World for over 20 years. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Cole Jenkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert “Buck” Jenkins; Son, Chet and daughter-in-law, Donna; daughters, Tanya and Son-in-law, Randy Wagner, Shiloh and son-in-law Patrick Murphy; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice Bell of New Orleans. June enjoyed sewing, shopping, especially shopping and music. She loved animals and adopted her dogs, Mopsey and Lucky who brought her an enormous amount of comfort and joy. June also enjoyed her parrot Fred. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of El Paso; 4991Fred Wilson. The family would like to thank all of June’s friends and those who helped in caring for her throughout her battle with cancer. Special thanks to all the staff members at The Nazareth Living Care Center who treated us with such compassion and kindness. Visitation: 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass: 10:00am on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Interment is Private.
