Kathryn E. Yeskovich

YESKOVICH Kathryn “Kay” Yeskovich passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. She was 87 years old. She lived for the last three years in Reno, Nevada. Kathryn lived most of her life in El Paso, where she taught dancing at the Arthur Murray Studio and was a distinguished local artist. Her work was featured in many group shows and exhibitions around the El Paso southwest. Kathryn loved animals, and trained her poodle Jacques to be a champion in obedience. She loved clothes, dancing and jewelry, which she often designed herself. She actively supported service men and women and attended chapel at Fort Bliss. She had many friends in El Paso, after moving here permanently in 1958. Kay worked to support the arts in El Paso, contributing pieces of her artwork for charity events for the El Paso Opera Company and many others. She was preceded in death by her parents Madge and R. M. Shannon, her sister Rosamund Shannon Jones and her husband Lt. Col. (AF) Henry Robert Yeskovich. She is survived by her daughter Julie Durham of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and her son, Brian Yeskovich of Reno, Nevada. She leaves two grandchildren, Colleen Yeskovich of Silver Springs, Maryland and Josephine Yeskovich of Stockton, California. A memorial service will be held for Kathryn on Sunday, April 6 at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Homes West, 480 N. Resler in El Paso - (915)587-4408.
