Linda B. Godinez, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend was born in 1919 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Patsy Batt, 4 sisters and 4 brothers, husband, Jose L. Godinez, and two children, Andrew Batt and Ida Mae Townley. She is survived by 1 sister, Esther Cooper, 3 children Jody (Linda), Patrick, and Rosa Logsdon (Leon). In addition she leaves 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren to mourn her loss. Linda made El Paso her home for over 70 years. She was a member of the “Greatest Generation”, an exemplary employee, and a friend to many. We wish to thank Hospice El Paso and Dr. Suresh Antony for all of their care and dedication towards our mother. “Strength and honor are her clothing and she shall rejoice in time to come.” Mom, “we’ll love you forever, we’ll like you for always, as long as we’re living our mommy you’ll be.” Visitation: 5-8pm with Moments of Reflection at 6:30pm on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. A service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hondo Pass, at 11:00am Monday, February 24, 2014.Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
