Beloved Luis (Buffy) Labrado Jr., 77, born August 14, 1937, who touched so many lives, passed away suddenly of cancer on April 1, 2015. He worked for 39 years at ASARCO Inc. as a Crain Operator and Pipefitter, and is a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, brother-in-law, and nino. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie F. Labrado; children: Henry Louie (Gloria) Labrado and Cathy Lynn Labrado; Grandchildren: Erica Louise (Enrique) Quinonez and Jacqueline Labrado; Great grandchildren: Joseph Daniel and Nicole Marie Quinonez; brother, Antonio Labrado, and his sisters: Guillermina Petitte, and Bertha M. Labrado. Luis was preceded in death by his parents Luis and Paula Labrado; brother, Pedro and his sister, Assunta Labrado, CDP. Luis was a devout member of San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 13342. Luis pastime activities were swimming, fishing, camping, going to UTEP football games and watching wrestling. You left a sorrowful void in our hearts, but we carry your smile, warmth, and wonderful life of memories in our daily lives. By your life, you taught us the value of family, friends, prayer, and Love for our Lord. Serving as pallbearers will be: Joseph Gonzalez, Reynaldo Moreno, Walter Lee Garcia, William Marshall Petitte, Louis Abiel Cepeda III, Peter Labrado.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at San Antonio Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
