Lynn Marie Liptak passed away June 29, 2014. Born in St. Paul MN. June 22, 1954 to Dorothy and William Liptak. She is survived by Life Partner, Mary F. Harris, In laws: Bobby and Joann Harris, numerous friends, and her four-legged children: Fritze, Lacy and Diego.
Lynn attended Floral Design School in Denver. Subsequently, she changed career paths graduating from College of St. Catherine St. Paul MN. Where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy. Proud of her chosen occupation, she remained a Licensed OTR until her passing. She obtained her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee WI.
Her career started in MN. traveling to WI, Seattle WA and settling in El Paso in 1994. Lynn especially enjoyed working with Linda, “the best boss of my career”, and her dear co-workers at the VA Home-based Primary Care Program. Illness forced her to leave in early January. Her laughter still fills the halls at the VA. She will be sorely, missed.
Lynn was known for her boundless energy, love of life, and amazing sense of humor. Her dearest friends know Heaven will welcome her home with a new stage, microphone and a whole new set of jokes. But, prior to her entrance, she will have cleaned all the stairs and polished the Pearly Gates.
In her youth she was a competitive long distance speed skater. She loved hiking, biking, bowling, golf and shopping for Native American art.
Lynn wanted to thank her many friends who were so supportive this past 1 ½ years. Deepest gratitude to Jayne, Tish, Belinda, Marcia, Lois, Toni, Diane, Pam C. and of coarse, her beautiful caregivers: Pati and Socorro. Special thanks to the entire La Mariposa staff.
Donations may be made in memory of Lynn to the Animal Rescue League, Humane Society, and Desert of the Heart.
