Maria Luisa Soliz

Maria Luisa Soliz went to rest with the Lord on January 27, 2015 at the age of 95. Maria was a Civil Service Employee and a Member of the Washington Park Senior Citizens. She is preceded in death by her parents: Franciso Martinez and Dominga Perez; Son: Gonzalo Soliz, and Grandson: Gonzalo Soliz Jr. She leaves behind her husband of almost 70 years: Mr. Concepcion R. Solis; her Son: Robert Solis; her Daughters: Mary Caldera and Elizabeth Solis; 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Granchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. She held on and cared for all those around her. Like the pillar of a building, she held everone up. Her love and compassion will always be embeded in the memory of those she met. She either gave you a piece of her mind, or a piece of her heart, or both. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 6 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be at 8:30 am Thursday January 29, 2015 at San Antonio Church, 503 Hunter. Interment will follow 10:30 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
