When she wasn’t preparing unforgettable meals for her family, she could be found tending to her breathtaking garden. A devout Catholic, Matilde’s relentless faith carried her through a courageous battle with cancer that proved to be miraculous. As her journey came to an end, she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will forever be in the hearts of her 9 surviving children, 26 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Abuelita, descanse en paz. Esperenos en el cielo y cuidenos en la tierra.
