Melvin L. Nowicki

Melvin L. Nowicki 85, went to his heavenly reward on June 4, 2015. Mel was born in Detroit Michigan. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and uncle. Mel is preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances of 51 years. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters Catherine Devenport and Victoria Nowicki and his granddaughters Leslie Howe and Nicole Devenport. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Korean War. Mel retired from Chevron Refinery after 31 years. He was a gourmet cook and enjoyed painting while listening to all the old country music. He also was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Redwings. A private graveside service will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
