Patrick Joseph Selufsky, 54, died July 25 in Florida. Patrick was born in El Paso on November 9, 1959. His father was career Army, giving him the opportunity to enjoy Faribanks, Alasksa. In the lower 48, Patrick lived in New Jersey, Alabama and three times in El Paso. He started school at Dolphin Terrace and graduated from Parkland High School. The July after graduating, he left to proudly serve his country, for twenty years, in the United States Navy. Many years were enjoyed in Spain and Sicily. He retired after his last tour in Jacksonville, Florida. Patrick never married, his hobbies took his time. He raised cockatiels, fish, and had a big garden and fruit trees. He enjoyed a stamp and coin collection. His greatest pleasure was deep sea fishing. Patrick is survived by his parents, Ronald and Palma Selufsky; two sisters, Sonja Kurlowicz and Tanya Kuemper and her husband Ted; one brother, Peter and wife Ranee, both Registered Nurses doing missionary work at an orphanage in Cambodia; two nieces, Shelia, his godchild, Natasha and nephew Ronnie; two great nephews Steven and Robert; and two great nieces, Lynzie and Vanessa. A Funeral Mass will be at 12:00pm at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice, which will be greatly appreciated. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
