Phyllis Louise Ivie Durnford

Phyllis Ivie Durnford, 91, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014, near her daughter with happiness and love in her heart. We know our “angel mother” is full of joy and love to return to our Heavenly Father and her beloved husband whom she had missed every day since his passing seven years ago. Our mother and father were married on earth for 63 years. Our mother was beautiful inside and outside. In her youth, she was a beauty queen and print model for ZCMI Department Store in Utah. She devoted her life to her family and service to the Lord through her church. She held multiple leadership positions in her church including many years as president and/or counselor of her LDS church Relief Society. We love and miss our mother so very much. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Maloney (Michael); sons, Douglas Durnford and John Durnford (Sandy); and 5 grandchildren: Shannon, Andrew, Lauren, Sarah, and Ariana. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass from 5-8 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5510 Hondo Pass. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
