Raul O. Alvarado

Raul O. Alvarado was born January 31, 1931 in Chihuahua, Mexico and resided in Phoenix, Arizona. Our Lord called him into eternal rest on January 5, 2019 at the age of 87. His mother, Carmen Ortiz, wife Esperanza Alvarado, daughter Helen Walker, and grandson Louie Bowler received him with open arms when making his journey into the kingdom of God. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his four daughters Rosa Bowler, Carolina Johnson, Teri Castrejon, and MaryLou Perez; two sons Miguel and Joe Alvarado; fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and countless extended family members. He is alive in spirit, dancing and singing in the presence of our Lord and his loved ones who awaited his arrival! “YOUR STRENGTH LIVES WITHIN US.” Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home, 9521 North Loop Dr. Funeral Mass at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd. Graveside Service to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
