Rex Alvin Wiesenthal

Rex Alvin Wiesenthal, 52, was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on May 22, 1962. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Sturgeon, father Carlo Wiesenthal, brother, Roy Lee. He attendant Eastwood High School and graduated in 1980. Rex attended West Texas State for one year. Rex served for the US Military for 3 years at Ft. Carson, Co. as a Legal Clerk (E-4). Then went on to complete his degree at UTEP. Rex also received his Masters Degree in Counseling, was a devoted school teacher of Bel Air High School for 15 years. He taught Speech as primary and English. Rex directed plays at Montana Playhouse. He starred as Mr. Roberts in the show "Mr. Roberts". Rex also sang a duet in "Kiss Me Kate". Rex is survived by his grandmother, Wilma Sturgeon Wilson, 97; mother Judith Wiesenthal; two brothers: Carl, and Mark, aunt, Elaine Cloyd; and cousin, Brian Cloyd. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
