Rubina Rodriguez

Rubina Rodriguez, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend, passed away on June 30, 2014. She was known among family and friends as “Rubina the Good”, and she lived up to that name every day of her life. She also touched many lives during her career as an educator in the Socorro Independent School District. Rubina is survived by her loving husband, Albert; son, Paul, and his wife, Judith; daughter, Helen, and her husband, Tom; mother, Helen; brother, Danny; sisters, Melissa and Melinda; and countless friends and family. Rubina’s laughter and love of life will be dearly missed. A rosary and viewing will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 9521 North Loop Dr., from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd, at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 3rd immediately followed by the burial at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana. Donations if wished in lieu of flowers to The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, a charity that Rubina supported.
