Vincent Donato Aceto

Vincent Donato Aceto, 76, passed away Tuesday morning, November 19, 2013 with his best friend, and former wife, Nancy Aceto by his side. He was a long-time resident of El Paso, having traveled many years prior to moving to El Paso where he retired from the United States Army. He spent 4 years in the United States Air Force, 20 years in the Army and another 20 years working as a civilian contractor for the Department of the Navy, at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. He was a member of both the El Maida Shrine and the El Paso Sheriff's Posse. Mr. Aceto was most proud, in his final years, for his participation with Flags Across America. He was proceeded in death by his parents Donato and Carmela Aceto, and his sisters Delores Gaschnig and Marie Fioravanti. He is survived by his former wife of 40 years Nancy Aceto, his sons: Jeffery Aceto, Thomas Aceto, and Michael Aceto; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as extended family. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, located at 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904. A Committal Service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
