Alfonso Arellano

April 23, 1927 — April 14, 2020

ALFONSO ARELLANO entered into the hands of his Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the age of 92. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be greatly missed. He was a proud Army Veteran who had served during World War II and was a member of the Willie Barraza VFW Post 9173. He worked for ASARCO for 37 years. After retirement he dedicated his life to his faith, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Beatriz L. Arellano; his parents, Agustin and Micaela Arellano; and his beloved son-in-law, Edward Pacheco. He is survived by his loving children; Graciela Pacheco (Edward ), Gerardo Arellano (Grace), Javier Arellano (Jesica), Virginia Pinales (Jorge), his loving 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Arellano. Services will be held privately by the family. Pallbearers are Gerardo Arellano, Javier Arellano, Rolando Pacheco, Erik Medina, Jorge Pinales Jr., and Javier A. Arellano. Honorary Pallbearers are Jorge Pinales Sr., Ray Montoya Jr., Oscar Lopez Jr., Adolfo Arellano Jr., Abel Martinez, and Manuel Romero Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to St. Patrick’s Canutillo Catholic Church P.O.
