Ana Lynn Hogan Cedillo

April 9, 1959 — December 17, 2014

Ana passed away in El Paso, Texas on December 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. Ana was born April 9, 1959. She attended Marian Manor Elementary, Ysleta High School, and El Paso Community College. Ana was one-of-a-kind, she loved to laugh and never forgot how to laugh, even in the darkest of times. While Ana was of little means she had a heart of gold and was always generous and willing to help any 2-legged, 4-legged, or winged creatures with whatever she had. It might have simply been the time needed to mend a broken wing, rehabilitate a dog or give a warm place to stay to a friend in need. She made friends with everyone she met and trusted everyone. Ana worked several jobs in her short lifetime but the one closest to her heart was the 11 years she worked with the Ysleta ISD as a teacher's aid with children with special needs. She loved all the children that were under her care and she loved the children she helped sponsor on the Cheerleading Squad and National Honor Society at Ramona Elementary. Those that knew and loved her will forever be touched by her special and beautiful sense of humor, her laughter (and you could hear that laugh a mile away) and her generous good heart. She loved to garden, and her trees, flowers and all plants just thrived under her care. She loved her collection of antiques (just old discarded junk to most). The world will be a little quieter now but her laughter will forever be heard in the hearts of those that knew her. She was especially proud of her children Melissa Arroyos and Alejandro Jimenez. She dearly loved her grandchildren: Ray, Tony, Emily, and Heaven. She is also survived by her mother, Martha Campos Hogan, and father, John W. Hogan (Celia). Her sister, Denise (George) and brother John Patrick (Lolly). Her nephews Michael and Joseph. Her maternal aunts and uncle, and numerous aunts, cousins, comadres, and friends. A very special thank you to her "Guardian Angel", Danny. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 19, at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas at 9521 North Loop Road, El Paso, Texas 79907, from 5 p.m. to 9p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be on Saturday, December 20, at 9:00 a.m., at San José Church, 8100 San Jose Road, El Paso, TX 79907.
