Antonia L. Espeleta

Antonia Espeleta, born December 25, 1935 in Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, passed away in peace on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the age of 83 years. She was a resident of El Paso for over 63 years. Antonia is preceded in death by her Husband, Rafael P. Espeleta with whom she shared a life together for over 64 years. Survived by her sister Sylvia Rosario Lara de Rosales, her children: Rosa Maria Espeleta, Socorro Gutierrez, Lidia Escobedo (Manuel Muñoz), Frances Buckmaster (John T. Schulte III), Rafael Espeleta, Delia Herlinda (Frank) Arechiga, Ana Chochil (Alfred) Ruminer, Salvador (Nancy) Espeleta; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Antonia was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with family and friends especially during the holiday seasons. She also enjoyed playing slot machines while vacationing in Las Vegas with family and friends. As the consummate cook she was always looking for alternative food dishes to prepare and the casino buffets were a required favorite on any trip to Las Vegas. Visitation: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Homes East, 750 North Carolina Drive.
