Araceli Castaneda

Araceli Castaneda passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 55. Preceded in death by her sister Lupita Paterson and niece Jennifer Gomez. Survived by her loving husband Joe Castaneda, daughter Bernice Castaneda, grandchildren Ebony Wallace, Jessie Wallace Jr., Ryan Del Campo, Anthony Wallace. Lovingly remembered by sisters Margarita Showery, Sylvia Amor, Isabel Rayas, Leticia Gomez, and Susana Gomez and brothers Ricardo Gomez, Miguel Gomez, and Pablo Gomez. Several nieces and nephews and family members she loved with all her heart. Araceli was a selfless person always helping a family member or friend in some way or another. Araceli was a planner, a motivator, and a doer of life! Nothing was too big for her pint size self. She lived life at her fullest! "¡Andale!, ¡Vamos!, ¡Si!" always in a positive state of mind. She moved on to a new chapter of eternal life with Jesus Christ...God loaned her to us as an example of faith, love and hope. We will forever be grateful for having Araceli in our lives. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 4-9 p.m. with the rosary at 7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home--Americas. Funeral mass will take place Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Saint Stephen's Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Interment is private.
