Augustin David Nelson

Augustin David Nelson, 36 years old, passed away December 01, 2018. David was born in Bellflower, CA on April 16, 1982. He graduated from Canyon Spring High School in Moreno Valley, CA. Following graduation he moved to El Paso, TX in 2000 and resided in the city he loved for 18 years. David was an accomplished hair stylist/ barber and beautician, highly regarded and well sought out by many. He was very involved in fundraising with several organizations to help in the treatment/health/research, and helped organize events for many groups. He attended El Paso Community College and was currently in the process of receiving his certification as a Medical Lab Technician at Vista College. He was days away from accomplishing his dream of opening the doors of his own hair and nail salon to be named “Over The Top”. His love for music and bringing joy and cheer to all around him will be sorely missed. David is survived by his loving parents Harry and Emma Nelson, brothers Vaughn and Peter Nelson, nieces Jasmyn, Nicole Nelson and Adrianna Zuelch, and great nephew Blake Zuelch. Visitation:5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass:10:00am on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 South Oregon. Committal Service:11:30am at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
