In loving memory of, Benjamin S. DiMaggio Sr., son of Aurelio and Margaret Mary DiMaggio, born December 27, 1933 in French Creek, PA, passed away peacefully at the Ambrosio Guillen veterans’ home in El Paso, TX, on October 26, 2020 at 86 years of age.
Benjamin is survived by Gertrud, his loving wife of 66 years, his daughter Margret, sons Joseph and Benjamin Jr., his grandchildren, Benjamin DiMaggio and Justin Shannon and great grandchildren Aris, William and Matthew Shannon.
Benjamin, a veteran, served in the United States Army from 1951 thru 1972 through both the Korean and Viet Nam conflicts. Following military service, he was self-employed until his retirement.
Benjamin was also very involved with Flags Across America since its inception in El Paso, contributing countless hours and personal resources to bring a vision to reality.
Services are planned for 1:00 PM, on March 23, 2021, at the Old Glory Memorial, 9550 Gateway North. Celebration of Life will follow immediately at the DiMaggio residence. Private Committal Service will take place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Please visit online registry at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.
