Berta R. Solis

BERTA ROJAS SOLIS entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born and raised in Smeltertown on July 24, 1933 to Manuel and Candelaria Rojas. She married in 1952 to Enrique Solis and celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her son Jose Solis, her grandsons: Raul Vargas and Daniel Solis, her sister Elvira Rojas, her brother-in-law Jose Lopez. She was a loving and dedicated mother to 9 children: Daniel Solis (Agnes), Marta Gallegos (Leonardo), Yolanda Solis, Eduardo Solis (Annemarie), Bertha Jimenez (Samuel), Enrique Jr. (Maria), Alfredo Solis, Beatriz Solis, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchildren, her siblings: Delia Rojas, Guillermo Rojas (Maria), Leopoldo Rojas, Beatriz Lopez and Roberto Rojas. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 8:00AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4600 Hidden Way. Pallbearers will be: Diego Solis, Mario Gallegos, Frank Vargas, Oscar Solis, Ray Solis and Eric Solis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Luciano Israel Martinez, Javier Gallegos, Nayo Gallegos, Steven Vargas, Richard Vargas, Alejandro Raul Solis, Daniel Solis, Kyle Solis and Lorenzo Solis. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
