Candelario Carrasco, Jr.

December 19, 1946 — December 6, 2017

Candelario Carrasco Jr., 70, born December 19, 1946 passed away on December 6, 2017. Mr. Carrasco was preceded in death by his most precious daughter Norma C. Martinez and his loving parents Luz Beard Carrasco and Candelario Carrasco Sr. Left to cherish Mr. Carrasco’s memory is his loving daughter Jessica Carrasco, his grandchildren whom he adored with all his heart, Jessica Marie Martinez and David Martinez Jr., and his sister Mary Carrasco. Mr. Carrasco was a loyal Son, Father, Grandfather and Brother whose legacy his family will always cherish and carry on. With a firm belief in the importance of work ethic, Mr. Carrasco was a loyal employee of Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad for 33 years. His daughters always beamed with pride upon their Father’s return home after a hard day or night of work. Mr. Carrasco was a man of upstanding character who was truly an example to his daughters and grandchildren. He raised two daughters to be strong women whom he taught to seek the Lord in all they set out to do. “Always put God first,” he said, just as he did. An avid Raiders fan, he passed down his loyalty to Raider Nation to his daughter Jessica. His daughter Norma remained an avid Cowboys fan until her passing, surely a dispute he and she are settling in heaven as we speak. Funeral Service for Mr. Carrasco will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved daughter Norma. How happy it would have made her to know her dear Father’s resting place would be alongside hers. Ephesians 6:2 “Honor your Father and Mother; which is the first commandment with promise; …” “Did I ever tell you you’re my hero? You’re everything, everything I wish I could be. Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle for you are the wind beneath my wings.” ~ Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler Thanks a million Daddy! Until we meet again in the presence of Christ. We Love You!
