Daniel E. Montoya III

Daniel E. Montoya III was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2020 at the age of 66. He was a 1972 graduate from Burges High School where he was an all district baseball player. After high school, Danny still loved to play softball and golf on his free time. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather “Ata”, son, brother, uncle and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by mother, Trainnie Montoya, sister, Edna Padilla, and grandmother Jessie Evers. He is survived by father, Daniel Montoya Jr., wife, Rosa, daughters: Denise(Sam) and Desiree(Sergio), brothers: David, Ricky, Eddie, and Gilbert, and sisters: Estela and Elva. Pallbearers will be David Montoya, Rick Montoya, Eddie Montoya, Gilbert Montoya, Sam Alonso, Sergio Rivera, Ruben Aceves, and Rudy Carrasco. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesus Martinez, Erik Carrasco, Javier Aceves, Tristan Alonso, Abner Alonso, Jayden Rivera, Brady Rivera, Jordan Rivera, and Tony Gomez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00PM, at Sunset Funeral Home West, 480 N. Resler Dr. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12:00PM at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West.
