Edward Gary Freda Jr. (Gary), 65, was called home to be with God, on September 22, 2020. He passed away in his home, in Northeast El Paso, surrounded by his adoring family.
Gary was born in Shirley, Massachusetts, on May 7, 1955. He relocated to El Paso, Texas where he spent most of his adult life. Gary worked as a Chef at the Officers' Club on Ft. Bliss, and a Baker and Supervisor for Sierra Medical Center, but eventually made a career out of his own handy-man business. Gary was sought-after by customers all over the Sun City for his meticulous, affordable, and reliable services. He was hardworking, trustworthy, selfless, strong, loving and humble. Gary loved spending his free time camping, fishing, cooking, baking, woodworking, and traveling.
Gary was an adored husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He married his soulmate, Susan "Susie" M. Freda (Hahn) on February 14, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Susie, his six children, Joseph "Joey" Tuten (Rachel) of Mississippi, Cary Kasten (Matthew) of Illinois, Marlana Palmiero (Gesuino) of San Antonio, Edward Gary Freda III of El Paso, Cristy Hernandez (Victor) of El Paso, and Michelle Lewis (Jeremy) of Arizona, his grandchildren Juliana, Jackson, Marshall, Wesley, Haylee, Kaytlynn, Andruw, Kylie, Keira, Jayden, and Ashtyn, and his God-daughter Maegan.
Gary will be missed terribly by his family, friends, customers, church, and community.
Services to honor and remember Gary will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Visitation:10am Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr, El Paso, TX 79904, followed by a committal service: 12pm Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps, El Paso, TX 79904.
