Edward was born in Sagaponack, Long Island New York. He joined the United States Army and served as military police for 23 years and 6 months. Retired with an honorable discharge." He worked for 13 years in civil service before retiring. Leaving behind a wife of 43 years Hwacha Wyche, Edward L. Wyche Jr (son) Edward L. Wyche III (grandson) Alica V. Coffey (sister), James A. Wyche (brother), Karen R. King (sister), Leonard T. Wyche (brother) Brandy Wyche (daughter in law), Danesha Shipman (granddaughter) Tatyana Matlock (granddaughter). Proceed in death Alice M. Wyche (mother) and James H. Wyche (father). Edward was a life member of the VFW Post 8919 and American Legion Post 832. Hobbies include Koon-can, sports fan, and New York Giants fan. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Funeral Service to begin at 9:00am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 4601 Maxwell Avenue. Committal Service to follow at 10:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
